Terms of Use

These Terms govern the use of the GuessGap service (guessgap.io). By using the service — with or without an account — you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
1. General
GuessGap is an online party quiz with five games (Numbers, Words, Options, Auction and VS), available at guessgap.io. The service is provided by GuessGap (“we”). How we process personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
2. Account
• You must be at least 16 to create an account.
• Use a real email address and don’t share access to your account with others.
• You are responsible for everything that happens in your account.
• We may suspend or delete an account that is used in breach of these Terms.
3. Playing without an account
You can join a game with a PIN and host a demo game without signing up. These Terms apply to such use as well. Creating, launching and copying boards, as well as saving game history, is possible only with an account.
4. What is not allowed
When using the service, you must not:
• use cheats, bots, scripts or other ways to gain an unfair advantage in the game;
• collect data or content from the service by automated means (scraping, crawling), including Community boards;
• interfere with the service: hack it, overload it, or bypass its limits or protection;
• decompile, disassemble or otherwise reproduce the service’s source code (reverse engineering);
• copy, reproduce, modify or distribute the service’s code, design, texts or other materials;
• use the service or its materials to build competing products or services;
• publish offensive or illegal content, or content that infringes other people’s rights;
• impersonate other people or GuessGap representatives.
5. Intellectual property
The GuessGap service and all of its parts — source code, design, interface, graphics, texts, names and descriptions of game modes, the logo and the “GuessGap” name — belong to us and are protected by intellectual property law. These Terms only give you a personal, non-exclusive, free right to use the service through guessgap.io for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted to you.
6. User content
• Boards (including question pictures) and other content you create remain yours.
• You are responsible for what they contain and confirm that you have the right to use it.
• By publishing a board to the Community, you grant us a free, non-exclusive license to display it to other users of the service while the board stays published.
• We may hide or remove content that breaches these Terms or other people’s rights.
7. How the service works
The service is currently free and actively developed: its features may change, appear or disappear. Paid features may be introduced in the future — we will announce their terms in advance.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it stable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted operation, the absence of errors or the preservation of data. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses related to using the service or being unable to use it.
9. Ending access
You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account in “Settings”. We may restrict or end access to the service for anyone who breaches these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. We try to resolve disputes through negotiation — please write to us before seeking other remedies.
11. Changes to the Terms and contacts
We may update these Terms. The current version is always on this page, with the update date at the top; we will describe significant changes in “What’s new”. Questions about the Terms — hello@guessgap.io.
